MN Community Measurement (MNCM) and Chiropractic Care of Minnesota, Inc. (CCMI) invite the community to provide feedback on a new quality performance measure, the Acute and Sub-Acute Low Back Pain Functional Status Outcome Measure.
This measure was developed by a MNCM-convened, multi-stakeholder workgroup and is planned for pilot testing in chiropractic settings of care. The public comment period will conclude on Friday, March 13 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
In 2014, MNCM and CCMI entered into a partnership to conduct measure development on acute low back pain care; initial work was concentrated around care received in a chiropractic setting. Leveraging MNCM’s experience with multi-stakeholder measure development and CCMI’s network of providers, the Acute and Sub-Acute Low Back Pain Functional Status Outcome Measure was developed with multi-disciplinary providers, purchaser, health plan and consumer representation. Measure development work concluded earlier this month. The measure is recommended for testing in only chiropractic care settings at this time.
A critical element of MNCM’s measure development and testing process is providing the opportunity for the public to review proposed specifications and recommend changes or clarifications. The Acute and Sub-Acute Low Back Pain Functional Status Outcome Measure Direct Data Submission (DDS) specifications are now open for review and comments. All comments will be reviewed for consideration. Please submit feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, March 13 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
