2014 Health Equity of Care Report: Overview (Part One)

MN Community Measurement and Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) are excited present a two-part webinar series focused on the results of the 2014 MNCM Health Equity of Care Report and practical steps that medical groups can take to reduce health care disparities and improve care for all patients.
In this first part of the webinar series, Brooke Cunningham, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Health Disparities Division, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and Tina Frontera, Chief Operating Officer at MN Community Measurement, will:
- Review of race, Hispanic ethnicity and country of origin results, contrasting the three types of data and why each is important for health outcomes
- Review of CLAS Standards, and the importance of culturally and linguistically appropriate care for health outcomes
- Provide an overview of the 2014 Health Equity of Care Report findings, which presents quality data stratified by race, Hispanic ethnicity, preferred language and country of origin at statewide and regional levels.
- Discuss how the State of Minnesota and other stakeholders are addressing health equity
