2016 Cycle A Webinar

On Monday, December 14, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and MNCM presented an informational webinar reviewing all three Cycle A measures. This webinar reviewed measure requirements and the data submission process.

At approximately the 29 minute mark of the presentation, a participant asked the following question. The answer below is a correction to the answer offered during the presentation.
Q: For the Depression measure, what sources can be used to determine if the patient has an exclusion diagnosis of bipolar or personality disorder which currently have value sets to define these diagnosis?
A: It is acceptable to use any of the following sources to determine if the patient has a diagnosis of bipolar disorder or personality disorder and should be excluded from the depression measure: encounter diagnoses, the patient’s problem list or documentation in a progress note.
