Sixth annual Disparities Report shows progress, but gaps remain

  • According to the new Health Care Disparities Report, the disparities gap is shrinking statewide for children’s asthma care, childhood immunizations, sore throat care and cervical and breast cancer screening. But more work remains to be done to close gaps between people enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs and those enrolled in private, employer-sponsored insurance or Medicare. Read more >>

ICD 10 conversion scheduled for fall 2014

  • ICD-10 diagnosis code sets are currently slated to go into effect for billing to Medicare on October 1, 2014. This means that for MN Community Measurement (MNCM) measures, both ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnosis code sets will need to be used to correctly identify patient denominator and exclusion criteria for data submissions in the 2015 report year.
