Since 2009, MN Community Measurement (MNCM) has worked with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to help implement the Statewide Quality Reporting and Measurement System (SQRMS). Our current contract is in effect through the end of 2015 and we have plans to seek renewal.
MNCM collects and validates data from ambulatory physician clinics and medical groups. As part of our SQRMS contract, we provide MDH with aggregated data from those clinic submissions, which allows MDH to administer the program.
MNCM and MDH share the goal of improving health and health care in Minnesota; and we continue to work together to find new opportunities to use data for these purposes. To support MDH’s public health initiatives, MNCM recently began to also supply MDH with data on our quality measures aggregated at the zip code and county levels. MDH will use the data to study health disparities and geographical difference, and help identify areas in need of public health investments.
Throughout our collaboration, maintaining the privacy, security and integrity of clinical data – as well as the trust of Minnesota’s provider and patient communities – remains our highest priority.
