Meet Our New Board Members

Kevin Gilliam, MD
Dr. Kevin Gilliam is the Medical Director at NorthPoint, where he leads the Hypertension Management Team and provides primary and gender-affirming care. A committed advocate for community health, he is actively involved in medical education and professional organizations, including the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians. Outside of work, he enjoys biking and outdoor activities with his family.

Mallory Koshiol, MPH
As the Vice President of System Safety, Quality & Experience for Allina Health, Mallory Koshiol provides strategic leadership in patient safety, quality, infection prevention, and health equity. With a Master of Public Health degree and certifications in Lean Six Sigma, she is dedicated to shaping the future workforce through her academic roles at the University of North Dakota and mentorship programs. Her expertise in health system sciences and high-reliability organizations will be instrumental in informing MNCM’s future initiatives.

Shawn Larsen, RN
Shawn Larsen is the Vice President of Quality and Stars at Medica Health, where he leads initiatives focused on advancing healthcare quality and patient outcomes. With over two decades of experience in clinical and operational excellence, he has expertise in value-based care models, regulatory compliance, and data-driven performance optimization. Previously, he held key roles at Aetna, Humana, and Bright Health, where he drove significant improvements in healthcare delivery and patient engagement.

Tim Miller, MD
With over 30 years of experience in internal medicine, Dr. Tim Miller is the Medical Director for South Country Health Alliance. He has held leadership positions as Regional Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Operations at Allina Health. A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Internal Medicine Residency Program, his expertise in health care operations and patient care delivery will contribute significantly to MNCM’s mission.

Christine Norton
A longtime advocate for patient-centered measurement, Christine Norton has been deeply involved in MNCM’s work for over a decade, previously serving as a Consumer Representative on the Measurement & Reporting Committee and holding leadership roles within MNCM’s Board and Measure Review Committee. She brings national expertise in measurement development, serving on technical panels for CMS and the National Quality Forum. Christine’s extensive experience in breast cancer research advocacy and her service on the Minnesota Board of Nursing further highlight her dedication to improving health care.

Sean Wherry, MD
A family medicine physician at CentraCare, Dr. Sean Wherry also serves as Medical Director for Population Health and the Central Minnesota Accountable Care Organization (ACO). His leadership focuses on improving health outcomes through coordinated, cost-effective care. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he brings a unique perspective from his decade of military service, along with extensive experience in community-based health initiatives.
