The Measurement and Reporting Committee
Known as the MARC, this committee recommends measurement priorities and specifications to the board, as well as guiding principles or policies for public reporting of measure results. View the Slate of 2019 Measures to Report.
MN Community Measurement’s Measurement and Reporting Committee, or MARC, includes physicians and other clinicians, health plans, technical specialists and a consumer representative, and is charged with reviewing and making recommendations on measures and reporting policies, as well as testing ideas and strategies related to data collection.
MARC recommendations are informed by national measures where available, and the MARC consults with the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement on the most recent guidelines approved by Minnesota clinicians based on a review of national research and evidence.
Meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month. No meetings in January or July. Agendas and other information will be posted when available.
All meetings of the Measurement and Reporting Committee are open to observation by the public. Please RSVP your planned attendance to email@example.com by 12:00 p.m. on the Tuesday before each meeting, to ensure space is available for all interested observers.

MNCM’s Measurement and Reporting Committee (MARC) is a committee of the board with a broad membership of community stakeholders. The committee recommends both measurement priorities and specifications to the MNCM Board of Directors and also recommends guiding principles and/or policies for MNCM’s public reporting of measures. The MARC is supported by measure development work groups established by MNCM staff at the direction of the MARC. The work groups recommend draft measurement specifications and data collection plans. MARC members may be asked to serve on a work group.
The MARC meets monthly (except in January and July, when there is no meeting). Members are required to attend/actively participate in at least 75 percent of meetings. Members serve a two-year term and have a three-year term limit. While it is possible for members currently serving in an open position to nominate him- or herself again, MNCM is also mindful of recruiting new members so other community stakeholders have an opportunity to participate.
